Radio Taiwan International in a special National Day broadcast from 02.00 to 03.00 UTC was logged on 10 October 2014. An English language broadcast of Taipei Brass Quartet with male and female occasionally speaking. Taiwan armed forces marching band and honor guard introduced heads of government and President Ma of Taiwan who gave a speech. Announcers translated content of his speech, which touched on Taiwan's democracy, culture, economy, military, healthcare, diplomatic relations with mainland. China. Taiwan national anthem and honour guard saluted President Ma. Parade with marching bands from high schools and colleges in Taiwan, including "Tiger Thunder", followed. Announcers closed and mentioned special souvenir to be given to listeners who write in, email and postal address followed. Music (Taiwanese pop tune), news and weather followed at 03.00 till 03.15 UTC.
Reception on 15.320 kHz Reception (SINPO) at 02.20 UTC was (SINPO) 55555 - excellent. However, at 02.33 UTC interference from CRI/CRN degraded reception to 52552 - signal was still audible but significantly affected to make reception difficult. Reception improved at 03.00 UTC to 54554 - good signal strength, minor QRM from transmitter him and station interference under. Happy National Day!!!
Reception report was emailed, submitted on-line and posted to Radio Taiwan International. QSL card arrived in the mail on 29 October 2014. Souvenir post-it notes in the shape of a pineapple with RTI logo was received in early November 2014, along with another QSL card.
