Radio Free Asia, transmitting from Tinian Island, was logged on 13 January 2015. A Burmese language broadcast of news and current events about Myanmar was monitored from 16.30 to 17.00 UTC (broadcast time 16.30 to 17.30 UTC)Reception on 9.940 kHz was (SINPO) 54544 -- occasional and slight fading with minor interference, otherwise a strong and clear signal.

Reception report was emailed on the same day.

  2. Hi Nelson. I usually send a cover letter, email and postal addresses, together with a reception report. Here's how the report for the above RFA transmission was written:

    Frequency: 9.940 kHz

    Reception (SINPO): 54544 - occasional and slight fading, along with minor interference, otherwise a strong and clear signal

    Content of Burmese language broadcast:
    16.30 - Current event reports with interviews presented by two male announcers
    16.45 - More feature reports presented by female announcer
    16.57 - RFA website with Burmese music was announced by female presenter
    16.58 - Reports about Myanmar resumed
    17.00 - Broadcast continued until 17.30 UTC

    External Antenna: 13-meter vertically erected 1/4 wave aerial linked to 15 meters of shielded 50 ohm coaxial cable which is fed through an MFJ-956 antenna tuner
