VOA - Deewa Radio, transmitting from Iranawila, Sri Lanka, was logged on 4 March 2013. Pashto language broadcast of music and a capella singing from listeners was monitored from
18.05 to 19.00 UTC. Reception on
9.370 kHz was (SINPO) 34433 - fair signal strength with minor fading and atmospheric noise, otherwise audio was clear. Transmitter occasionally (at least 4 times) would close for a second, then power up again.
Reception report was emailed to VOA-Deewa Radio and IBB on the following day. Received an email stating they would
"Look into it (getting a QSL)". A QSL card from VOA arrived in the mail on 10 April 2013.
