BBC Antarctic Midwinter Broadcast via Woofferton, UK was logged on 21 June 2026, from 21.35 till 22.00 UTC, on 12.070 kHz (the best frequency), in Subang Jaya, Malaysia. Although the SINPO was 25222 -- poor signal strength with horrible QRN (electric noise in my neighborhood), I did manage to hear Happy Winter Solstice greetings from friends, family and children, occasionally interspersed with brief music clips and the closing song "Hazy Shade of Winter". Without the QRN audible quality would have been better. I listened on an Alinco DX-R8T using a 1/4 wave external antenna mounted on the rooftop. Here is an audio excerpt.
A reception report was emailed and submitted online shortly after this broadcast. An eQSL card, without details, was received immediately after I submitted it online. Unfortunately BBC online eQSL only returns random picture postcards. My eQSL was a photo of their Ascension Island facilities.
