VOICE OF TURKIYE VERIFICATION (QSL) CARD featuring Zilkale Castle, which is located 15 km south of Çamlıhemşin, stands on the western sloped of the Fırtına River. It once provided security for caravans traversing the medieval trade route. Three important structures remain within the castle: a guardhouse, a chapel and the main tower. Two cannons discovered in the castle are currently on display at the Trabzon Museum. The structure, which recently underwent restoration, commands a beautiful view overlooking the valley.
Voice of Turkiye, transmitting from Emirler, was logged 24 January 2026. A Persian language broadcast with a sprinkling of Turkish pop music in between programmes was monitored from 16.30 till 17.00 UTC. Reception on 9.490 kHz rated a SINPO of 55555.
Reception report was submitted by email on the following day. QSL card was received on 30 March 2026.
