Radio Free Asia (via Sulaibiyah)

Radio Free Asia, transmitting from Sulaibiyah, Kuwait, was logged on 24 January 2024. Lao language broadcast with reports about Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand was monitored from 00.00 till 00.30 UTC. Reception on  9.930 kHz rated a SINPO of 45444 - initially (at sign-in) signal was poor, but audible. Approximately 10 minutes later signal was stronger and much clearer  with no interference. Reception report was emailed on the same day. A QSL was received on 16 February 2024.

Trans World Radio (via Manzini)

Trans World Radio, transmitting from Manzini, Swaziland, was logged on 12 February 2024. A Lingala language broadcast of a rligious nature was  monitored from 19.35 till 20.05 UTC. Reception on 15.105  kHz rated a SINPO of 55444 -- good signal strength and clear audio despite moderate atmospheric noise. HERE is how TWR Manzini sounded in Malaysia.

 Reception report was emailed on the following day. An eQSL was received on 14 February 2024.

Voice of Turkiye, transmitting from Emirler, Turkiye, on  11 December 2023. English language broadcast of Turkish related topic and Turkish music was observed from  17.58  till 18.25 UTC. Reception on 9.660 kHz rated a SINPO of 55555.

Reception report was emailed on the following day. QSL card arrived in the mail on 13 February 2024.

Radio Taiwan International (via Tamshui)

Radio Taiwan International, transmitting from Tamshui, Taiwan, was logged on 23 January 2024. English language programmes "Jukebox Journeys" and "Taiwanna Know" was monitored from 16.30 till 17.00 UTC. Reception on  9.405 kHz rated a SINPO of 44444 - strong signal and clear audio.

Reception report was emailed on the following day. QSL card arrived in the mail after Chinese New Year on 13 February 2024. Unfortunately it would seem RTI is less concerned these days to include the time and transmitter site; in recent years I've noticed they are lax in providing complete details on the card. I suppose one should be thankful just to get the QSL.

RTM Wai FM (via Kajang, Malaysia)

RTM Wai FM, transmitting from Kajang, Malaysia (about 40km southeast of me), was logged on 8 January 2024. An with Iban programme -- lively discussion between DJ Sam and Jebut about food and other Sarawak related topics -- was observed from 00.10 UTC till 00.50 UTC. Reception on 11.665 kHz rated a SINPO of 35343 -- fair signal strength with discernible audio content, despite atmospheric noise and slight fading. Reception quality worsened with a weaker signal and more noise after 00.45 UTC.

Reception report was emailed on the 8 January 2024. An eQSL was received on the following day, 9 January 2024.
