A Russian language broadcast of news, current event reports about Vietnamese tourism and film industry and a Vietnamese pop song was heard from 20.00 till 20.30 UTC. Reception 9.730 kHz was (SINPO): 55555 -- excellent signal and audio quality with no QRN, no QRM

Reception report was emailed on the same day.Voice of Vietnam Russian Service replied later in the day, confirming report: "Спасибо Вам большое за рапорт о приёме. Мы отправим Вам QSL-карточку по обычной почте. Надеемся, что вы и впредь будете слушать нас и поддерживать переписку С наилучшими пожеланиями Русская редакция Радио Голос Вьетнама."

KBS World Radio

KBS World Radio, transmitting from Kimjae (Republic of Korea), was logged on 1 April 2016. K-Pop music and news in English was monitored from 14.15 till 15.00 UTC (broadcast time 14.00 till 15.00 UTC). Reception on 9.640 kHz (SINPO) 54544 -- excellent signal strength, despite co-frequency interference and slight fading.

Reception report was submitted online the following day.

Voice of Turkey

Voice of Turkey from Emirler was heard on 2 April 2016, from 20.30 till 21.16 UTC. An English language broadcast of Turkish, regional and world news, including a report that flights of a Turkish airline would resume into Northern Cyprus, was noted at the start. This was followed by "Turkey's New Region", "Letterbox" and "Question of Month". A few Turkish pop tunes rounded out the broadcast, just before transmission concluded. Reception on 9.620 kHz was (SINPO) 55545 - strong and clear transmission, despite slight and occasional fading.

Marconi Radio International*

Marconi Radio International* in Italy was received on 2 April 2016, from 17.03 till 17.30 UTC. An English language broadcast of DX news and station intervals, MR station IDs with jingles (Star Wars and Godfather themes) and a Country & Western song was observed before the broadcast switched to Italian.

Reception on 7.690 kHz in USB mode was (SINPO) 24332 -- weak signal strength, but audible and clear. Some occasional utility interference.

A reception report with mp3 audio files was emailed on the same day.The above eQSL arrived on 25 April 2016.

Free Radio Skybird* (via Channel 292)

Free Radio Skybird* via Channel 292 (Rohrbach, Germany) was received on 2 April 2016, from 16.00 till 17.00 UTC. An eclectic mix of jazz, avant-garde, ambient, folk and rock music was heard in this hour long broadcast.

Reception on 6.070 kHz was (SINPO) 55545 -- excellent signal strength, audio quality, with slight and occasional fading, no QRN and no QRM.

Reception report was emailed on the same day. DJ Fredrick Moe replied on same day, saying: "I do appreciate your email; I would appreciate a small cash donation of $2 to cover postage for a QSL to Malaysia. You could send PayPal to: singinggrove@conknet.com. If that is not possible please let me know." A few days later, the report was posted by mail as requested. QSL arrived in the mail on 20 May 2016.

QSL in the Mailbox: Rádio Voz Missionária

Look what the mailman left in my letterbox today. A rather large envelope.  Upon reading the address and noticing the postage stamps, I realised it was from Brazil. An April Fool's joke? Nah. To be precise, it was a QSL card and station brochure from Rádio Voz Missionária in Camboriú, SC, Brazil. Back in December, last year, I chanced to briefly hear their transmission mixing with a North Korean station. Oh, how sweet it is! This makes my sixth verification from Brazil.  Muito obrigado, Rádio Voz Missionária!!!
