I received this Greeting Card from Radio Pridnestrovie in Moldova a few weeks back in January 2011.

Radio Tunis Chaine Internationale -- Tunisia

Radio Tunis Chaine Internationale was logged on  21 January, between 17.45-19.20 UTC at 12,005 kHz.


Signal was 23222 audible at times, but marred by fading and static at 19.00 UTC. By 19.20 UTC signal could no longer be heard.

SW Radio Africa (via Meyerton)

SW Radio Africa, transmitting to Zimbabwe via purportedly Meyerton, was logged on 19 December 2010 at 17.00-18.00 UTC on 4.880 kHz.


Signal (SINPO) was 55444 - strong  throughout transmission with slight fading and some atmospheric disturbance.


English language programme featured African pop music mixed with political commentary from the public and  dissidents.

Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation

Solomon Islands Broadcasting Corporation in Honiara, Solomon Islands was logged on 10 December 2010 at 10.30-12.06 UTC (time of audible signal in Malaysia) on 5.020 kHz.

Programming format comprised talk, news and local pop music. Broadcast was in English as well as some local language. 

Signal (SINPO) was 45232. Signal meter showed a solid transmission, but marred by slight fading and intermittent static. Music and speech was audible, but often undiscernible due the atmospheric disturbance.

Voice of Broad Masses  of Eritrea in Asmara-Selae Daro, Eritrea was logged on 9 November 2010 at 18:30-20:00 UTC on 7.175 kHz. 


Signal (SINPO) was 23232 - very weak; speech was undiscernible, although music was audible and clear. Static and fading made it more difficult to hear.


News, commentary and music format was heard during this Arabic language service.
