Trans World Radio, transmitting from Kununuwarra, Western Australia, was received on the shortwave frequency of 11.964 kHz, on 26 November 2025. This Indonesian language broadcast was heard from 09.40 till 10.00 UTC.

Voice of Mongolia

Voice of Mongolia
via Ulaan Bator was received on two different receivers (Alinco DX-R8T and Degen DE-1102), two different antennas (1/4 wave aerial on rooftop and 20-metre long wire) and two different locations (inside and outside) around my house. Transmission time for this Chinese language broadcast was after 06.00pm MYT (10.00 UTC), on 26 November 2025.

With the Degen portable radio positioned in the front yard of my house, long wire aerial attached, it performed better than the Alinco, which was located inside the house where there was a lot of electrical noise, especially from LED lights. Another factor was the internal power source of the radio. The Degen ran on batteries; whereas the Alinco DX-R8T was AC powered.
