WWV on 20 MHz (via Fort Collins)

Radio Station WWV, transmitting from Fort Collins, Colorado (USA), was received on 23 January 2021. Transmission on 20 MHz was observed at 14.30 till 14.40  UTC. SINPO was 34433 -- some atmospheric noise and fading, but reduced in LSB/SSB mode.

This is neither the first time I have logged WWV on this frequency, nor is it my first QSL from the station. Still, it is special for a 2.5 kW transmitter on this shortwave frequency to reach the other side of the planet. Should one live in the States or Europe it is much easier to receive. But then, timing and propagation make it possible. Since logging it, I've not heard the station. That's how unique it is to hear WWV in Malaysia.

Reception report was emailed on the following day. QSL card arrived in the mail on 8 March 2021. This is a new WWV verification design which the station began issuing last year to mark its 100th anniversary.
