IRRS-IBA NEXUS (via Kostinbrod-Sofia)

IRRS-IBA NEXUS, transmitting from Kostinbrod-Sofia, Bulgaria, was logged on 8 March 2020. A special broadcast called "2020 Coronavirus Pandemic" aired from 14.00 till 15.00 UTC. This American produced programme focused largely on the who, what and how efforts to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States, and by-the-way happenings elsewhere in the world. The programme closed with 15 minutes of music, including Justin Hayward's "One Day, Someday", then station ID and contact details. Reception on 9.640 kHz rated a SINPO of 34443 -- moderate signal strength, clear audio despite some transmitter carrier noise (?) in the background. Transmission initially began fairly weak with strong carrier but gradually strengthened as the broadcast progressed. HERE and HERE is the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic special broadcast.

Reception report was emailed shortly after their broadcast ended. An eQSL was received on 9 March 2020.
