  1. A fellow radio enthusiast asked why I used a "Muslim name" for this QSL card from the Voice of Turkey. In response let me say this:
أشهد أن لا إله إلاَّ الله و أشهد أن محمد رسول الله

While it is undoubtedly possible to receive a QSL from the Voice of Turkey without being a Muslim or using a Muslim name, I choose to use my Muslim name when corresponding with predominately Muslim countries. It doesn't always guarantee a response from Muslim countries, i.e. Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tanzania, who have never verified my reports, especially in recent years. It is an acknowledgement to them that I affirm the same faith, and I communicate with them accordingly.

If my religious affiliation is a problem for those reading this blogsite, please note this blog is not about about religion (Islam) or any other topic other than the hobby of DXing etc. If my personal convictions offend you, please take your bigotry elsewhere. Thank you. 73.
