Logbook 8-9 August 2017

BANGLADESH
Bangladesh Betar
(presumably TX site in Chittagong) on 873 kHz, around 16.55 UTC with music and station ID. SINPO rated 34333 --  fair to good signal (depending on degree of fading), slight co-frequency interference from a Thai station in Bangkok. HERE's how Bangladesh Betar (Chittagong).

INDIA
All India Radio Jalandhar
(Punjab) on 873 kHz, with music after 17.15 UTC, news at 17.30 UTC, then sign-off at 17.40 UTC. SINPO) rated 24322 -- poor to fair signal (depending on degree of fading), slight co-frequency interference from Bangladesh Betar (Chittagong) after 16.00 UTC till they signed off, then Thai station in Bangkok after 17.10 UTC. Audio and content was occasionally clear despite, fading, interference and atmospheric noise. HERE's AIR Jalandar,

INDONESIA
Radio Republik Indonesia Palangka Raya
(in Kalimantan) was observed at 12.35 UTC with "Berita" and Indonesian pop tunes, during this all Indonesian language format. Reception on 3.325 kHz rated a SINPO of 35443 -- fair signal strength, clear audio and content with minor atmospheric noise and fading.

JAPAN
Radio Nikkei 2
(in Chiba-Nagara) was heard after 12.30 UTC with Western pop music during a Japanese language broadcast. Reception on 3.945 kHz rated a SINPO of 34332 -- fair signal, audible content despite less than desired atmospheric noise and fading.
