NHK-1 / JOIK (via Sapporo)

NHK-1 (JOIK) in Hokkaido (Sapporo) was logged on 12 June 2017 (13 June 2017, Japan Date). A Japanese programme called  "Radio shin yaben" with Yasuo Miyagawa, featuring old enka music, was observed from 17.45 till 18.10  UTC (01.45 till 02.10 AM, Japan Time), on 12 June 2017.

Reception on on the medium-wave frequency of 567 kHz rated a SINPO of 24332 -- poor to fair signal strength when not fading (every few minutes), occasionally clear audio despite fading and slight mixing with another station (RTHK-3 in Hong Kong). After 19.00 UTC, and in subsequent days, JOIK was either heard mixing with another station or not heard at all. HERE's how JOIK sounded in Malaysia.

Reception report was emailed and mailed to NHK-1 on the following day. QSL card and verification letter with NHK-1 programme schedule and tourism leaflet for Hokkaido was received in the mail on 27 July 2017.
