NHK World - Radio Japan (via Kranji)

NHK World - Radio Japan via Kranji (Singapore) was received on 5 April 2016. Vietnamese (11.00 till 11.30 UTC) and and Thai (11.30 till 12.00 UTC) language broadcasts, featuring mostly talk and a few pop vocal songs were heard, under varying conditions on 11.740 kHz.

Reception at 11.00 UTC was (SINPO) 34443 -- fair signal, slight interference from China National Radio operating on the same frequency and minor fading. Transmission would worsen during Thai language broadcast.

At 11.30 UTC reception was (SINPO) 23432 -- poor to fair signal, with increased interference from China National Radio operating on the same frequency, station splatter from Voice of Korea on 11.735 kHz and  fading. Signal was almost completely inaudible after 11.45 UTC. Transmission was essentially a garbled mess of noise.

Reception reports for Vietnamese and Thai broadcasts were submitted online to NHK World - Radio Japan, the following day. QSL card for Vietnamese Service arrived in the mail on 20 April 2016.
