Radio Ronalisa

Radio Ronalisa*, transmitting from northern Netherlands, was logged on 17 September 2014. Several Dutch schlager songs, station IDs and occasional talking from DJ mentioning listeners was observed from 17.30 to 17.50 UTC. Reception on 6.290 kHz was (SINPO) 24322 - weak, very noisy and fading, but audible and clear at times. Barely audible after 17.45 UTC.

Ronald who operates Radio Ronalisa informs me that only "4 watts max output power" and "inverted V-horizontal antenna at 11 meters above ground" was utilised. This would account for the weak signal. Yet, his signal has been reportedly received throughout Europe.

Reception report was emailed on 18 September 2014. An eQSL, photos of antenna, transmitter and the town of Emmen, along with a very nice message, came from Ronald on 3 October 2014. Many thanks for the QSL, Ronald.
