MV Baltic Radio

MV Baltic Radio*, transmitting from Germany, was logged from a remote receiver (Twente) on 7 September 2014, owing propagation, time and frequency were inappropriate for direct reception in South East Asia.

MV Baltic Radio was received best on 6.140 kHz between 08.00 to 09.00 UTC. Reception (of rebroadcast) on 9.485 kHz from 09.00 to 10.00 UTC was poor and barely audible. Reception on 6.140 kHz was (SINPO) 55555 -- Excellent! Whereas on 9.485 kHz  reception was  (SINPO) 15341 -- weak carrier with audio barely breaking the threshold and noisy. HERE is how MV Baltic Radio sounded on 6.140 kHz at sign-on.

Content of broadcast include retrospective on MV Baltic Radio, classic rock/pop tunes of the Sixties and frequent station IDs, frequency and website announcements in German and English.

Reception report was emailed and posted in subsequent days.
