Radio Madagasikara, transmitting from Antananarivo, Madagascar, was logged on 4 and 5 December 2013. A speech from a male announcer, speaking in Malagasy was monitored from 18.15 to 19.20 UTC on 4 December; on 5 December a selection of local pop music hosted by a male announcer speaking Malagasy was observed from 18.30 to 18.57 UTC. Three days before (3 December), the station was heard signing-off at 19.00 UTC. Programming again consisted of music for over a half hour, then two minutes before transmission ended a male announcer came on. Reception on 5.011 kHz in LSB mode was (SINPO) 24321 -- weak and noisy with fading, yet faint and audible speech was detected. On other days the signal was observed on 5.010 kHz. Transmitter is erratic.
