AIR Kolkata was logged on 15 September 2013. A mix of Hindi songs, possibly pop and devotional music, was performed by a variety of female and male singers from 22.10 to 22.50 UTC. Broadcast was monitored on the medium-wave frequency of 594 kHz. This is apparently a new 1000 kW transmitter. Reception (SINPO) at 22.10 UTC was 34322 -- good signal strength, atmospheric noise and fading every five minutes. By 22.45 UTC reception was significantly degraded to 34222 with increased atmospheric noise.
A reception report was emailed the following day.
