Voice of Russia (via Kishinev, Republic of Moldova)

Voice of Russia, transmitting from Kishinev, Republic of Moldova, was logged on 4 May 2013. A English language broadcast included Voice of Russia world news, delighfully informative cultural progammes and frequent IDs  from 00.00 to 00.45 UTC (broadcast time 00.00 to 04.00 UTC). Reception on  9.665 kHz  at 00.00 UTC was (SINPO) 43434 -- good signal strength and occasional clarity, despite QRM from weaker stations and fading every two minutes. At 00.32 UTC reception worsened to 23322 -- much weaker signal strength with continued QRM and fading. By 00.45 UTC reception was 13321 -- a weaker signal as grey-line path lessened between Malaysia and the Moldova transmitter site, making it impossible to hear clear and discernible speech.



A reception report was emailed to Voice of Russia. An email from VoR arrived on 6 May 2013 confirming the broadcast. This QSL card arrived on 18 June 2013.
