Gaweylon Tibetan Radio / FEBA (via Dhabbaya)


Gaweylon Tibetan Radio / FEBA, transmitting from Dhabbaya, UAE, was logged on 19 September 2022. A Tibetan language broadcast with Tibetan music and topics was heard from 12.00 till 12.30 UTC. Reception on 15.215 kHz was (SINPO) 25342 -- poor signal strength, no interference except for atmospheric noise and fading

Reception report was emailed  to Gawylon Tibetan Radio on the following day.  An eQSL was received on 27 September 2022.

NUG Radio (via Paochung)

 

NUG Radio, transmitting presumably from Paochung, Taiwan, was logged on 5 December 2021. Burmese language programming mostly about current events in Myanmar was observed from 01.30 till 02.00 UTC. Reception on 17.710 kHz rated a SINPO of 45333 -- strong signal and clear audio despite moderate atmospheric noise and fading.

Reception report was emailed on the same day. Strangely there was no follow up. I resubmitted by email on 14 September 2022. Station promptly replied instructing me to fill out their online reception report. I filled out the form on 15 September 2022. Within five minutes their eQSL was received.

Voice of Turkiye

 

Voice of Turkiye broadcast in the English language was heard on the short-wave frequency of 11.660 kHz, here in the Kuala Lumpur area, on 21 August 2022,  from 16.30 till 17.22 UTC.  News, followed by the programmes "Weekly Analysis", "Turkiye's Cultural Treasures" and "Did You Know That", interspersed with Turkish pop songs and station IDs, was heard during this time. Closure announcement and interval signal rounded out the end of the broadcast. SINPO was 54454 -- strong and clear signal despite moderate atmospheric noise and slight transmitter noise which was corrected after transmitter closed from 17.05 till 17.10 UTC.

Reception report was emailed the following day. QSL card arrived in the mail on 8 September 2022.

NHK World Radio Japan (via Yamata)

NHK World Radio Japan via Yamata logged on 21 June 2022. A great selection of Benny Goodman songs from his Carnegie Hall performance and recordings, including "Sing, Sing, Sing", "Begin the Beguine", "Let's Dance" was observed. This was accompanied with commentary on Goodman in Japanese during this nearly one hour presentation from 17.05 till 17.55 UTC,  Reception on 11.800 kHz was SINPO 45333. HERE is NHK Radio Japan (Yamata).

Reception report was submitted online at NHK Worls Radio Japan on the following day. QSL Card arrived in the mail on 6 September 2022.
