Radio Tunis International Channel (RTCI) -- Tunisia

Radio Tunis International Channel (RTCI) in Tunis, Tunisia was monitored on 9 May 2011 from 17.30 to 20.10 UTC (normal broadcast hours from 16.00 to 20.10 UTC) on 9.725 kHz and 12.005 KHz


Signal (SINPO) on 9.725 kHz at 17.30 UTC was 45444. Clear and strong reception was noted throughout the broadcast. The same signal strength has been observed for over a month now. On 12.005 kHz reception was less favourable with fair strength and moderate QRN at 35233.

Transmission was intended for the Middle East and broadcast in Arabic. A variety of Arabic, French and Spanish language songs were heard, along with frequent station announcements, news in brief on the hour, the call for Maghrib and Ishak prayers and a couple of talk related stories.  


Reception report was submitted by post and email in French and English. QSL card is pending verification.
